Note that the official Flight Simulator X (FSX) Web site does not appear to have offered the differences between FSX Deluxe highlight previously published and recently FSX Gold (unfortunately I bought the Deluxe Edition) shortly before de Oro left.

What is the difference between Standard, Deluxe and Gold Edition is the following quote from Wikipedia:

"Flight Simulator X was released in two versions, standard and deluxe. Deluxe Edition includes additional features such as CD Software Development Kit (SDK), three airplanes with cockpit Garmin G1000 and the player controls the air.

In addition, the Deluxe Edition has 24 aircraft compared to 18 in the Standard Edition, 45 highly detailed airports compared to 40 of 38 highly detailed cities, compared to 28 and 51 structured missions compared to 30 +.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition combines the Deluxe Edition and the expansion pack to an acceleration. Furthermore, it contains more missions than the two editions or separate packages. "

The Wikipeedia article contains information about the precise differences between the versions available, including aircraft, missions, etc. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Simulator_X).

The "game" is great and I was "playing" as a prelude to the pilot course to follow.

Happy flying!
